1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any services provided by Hopkins CPA Firm P.C. ("we," "our," "us"), including consulting, tax preparation, advisory, and other CPA-related services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your access to and use of our services and website.

2. Scope of Services

Hopkins CPA Firm P.C. offers professional accounting services including but not limited to:
  • Individual and business tax preparation and filing
  • IRS tax resolution and audit representation
  • Tax planning and advisory
  • Entity formation and compliance advisory
All services will be outlined in a separate engagement letter. If a conflict exists between this document and an engagement letter, the engagement letter shall govern.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information.
  • Maintain records to support items reported in tax filings or financial documents.
  • Promptly respond to information requests.
  • Review all documents prior to submission or filing.
  • Review IRS Form 8879 when applicable to ensure bank routing and account numbers are correct for refund purposes.

4. Fees and Payment Terms

  • Pay all invoices in advance unless otherwise approved in writing by Hopkins CPA Firm.
  • Past due balances may incur a 1.5% monthly late fee.
  • Client agrees to cover collection costs if incurred.

5. Confidentiality

Your information is kept confidential in accordance with state and federal laws and AICPA ethics. No disclosures will be made without written permission unless legally required.

6. Intellectual Property

Templates, reports, and related work product remain the intellectual property of Hopkins CPA Firm P.C. unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Engagement Termination

Either party may terminate services by written notice. Client is responsible for paying for all services rendered up to termination.
Fees are earned when received and refunds are generally not issued. Credits or refunds must be approved by management.

8. Electronic Communications

You consent to receive all communications electronically, including reports and invoices, through secure platforms such as email or Zoho Books.

9. Limitation of Liability

Hopkins CPA Firm P.C. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. We are not responsible for any IRS or state assessments, including but not limited to penalties for failure to file, failure to pay, underpayment interest, or other actions resulting from inaccurate or incomplete client information.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes must first be resolved via good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, binding arbitration will take place in Corpus Christi, Texas under Texas law.

11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Revisions will be posted on our website and linked in future invoices.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
