I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE(C) 2023

One of my favorite mentors once said to me, “You know, we miss out on so many opportunities and new ideas by not turning to people who can help us. So, I believe one of the greatest things you can do is to simply say, ‘I need your help please.’”

Tom McCoy went on to say, “Most people have been where you’ve been and they are more than willing to assist you with the challenges you are faced with.”

I need your help please. Not complicated is it? Not overly invasive. To the point. Requires a response from the person(s) you’re asking.

Whatever industry you’re in: medical, educational, political, small business, legal, or mechanical these five words (I need your help please) can work magic for you.

People need people. No one is an island, or a know-it-all. We all are co-dependent to some degree. No matter how successful or affluent you have become, that illusive knowledge or idea is still out there. We all need at some point a helping hand in this immense universe.

There are people with an indescribable reservoir at an arm’s length just waiting to advise you; perhaps be the medicine for whatever wound you may have. They have answers for your aggravations and unanswered bugs-some issues that are an impediment to you and your business practice and personal growth.

So, I encourage you to slow down, rethink the problems you’re coping with and literally go to those professionals, those mentors you trust and respect. And like a seasoned fisherwoman or fisherman, cast out your fishing line, “I need your help please.”

What a rush this whole experience is awaiting you. Promise! Wind in your sails. That needed oxygen in your lungs. A true breath of fresh air. On the side of ecstasy. I need your help please suddenly opens up your mind, and I must say your heart to an exceptional support system you never knew was there.

No reason to fear. No reason to evade this noble plea, this exercise in checking out your mentors’ wisdom and ‘Yoda-like-tips’ that you had no idea existed—perhaps, life-changing, too.

I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE. Try it.
